Advisory & speaking
Advisory, board, speaking and coaching
Alongside my current work I take on a small number of outside commitments each year. They all sit in the same place: the messy middle between clinical insight, commercial strategy and real-world adoption.
Four kinds of work
Advisory
Working with a founder or leadership team on the commercial questions that decide whether good healthtech gets adopted: who the buyer really is, what evidence unlocks the decision, and what the route to market actually looks like.
Board and non-executive
Bringing a clinical and commercial perspective to boards in healthtech and digital health, particularly where clinical safety, evidence and regulated delivery meet growth pressure.
Speaking and workshops
Keynotes, panels and practical sessions for conferences, accelerators and founder programmes. I prefer sessions where people leave with something they can use.
Founder and executive coaching
One to one work with founders and senior operators on the two things that tend to be limiting: commercial judgement, and whether they can sustain the pace they have set themselves.
Who I work with
- Healthtech founders and CEOs
- Accelerators, founder programmes and venture studios
- Investors looking for a clinical and commercial read on a company
- Health systems and innovation teams
- Event organisers looking for a credible healthtech speaker
Speaking topics
- From clinical insight to scalable health innovation
- What clinical founders get wrong early
- Building healthtech that clinicians and systems can actually adopt
- AI in healthcare beyond the hype
- Founder performance: health, energy and decision quality
- Prevention and the demand curve: what actually bends it
Why this perspective is useful
Most advisers have seen one side of health innovation. I have practised in the NHS, sold and deployed digital health at a startup, led health and innovation work on national-scale programmes, and mentored hundreds of clinical founders. That range means practical judgement about what actually gets adopted, bought and used, rather than theory from one seat.
